Turning 50 isn’t what shakes me—it’s realizing time is no longer unlimited. In my 20s, the future felt endless, but now I know the moment to act is today. God has been teaching me the difference between urgency and panic. Panic is chaos fueled by fear, but urgency is rooted in trust, focus, and obedience—like Esther’s courage before the king. As I step into this new decade, I choose urgency, not panic—trusting His pace, His plan, and His purpose.

Not everything flows easily. Sometimes you’ve got to fight for every win. But God is still in it. And He makes scrappin’ worth it.

On his 7th birthday, my dad was featured in a newspaper as “Little Mr. Seven”—a title filled with fun coincidences. Now, as he turns 77, I’ve been reflecting on how his life was shaped not by moments of luck, but by years of faithful, daily choices. We don’t control how many days we’re given, but we do decide how we live them. There are no throwaway days when you’re living on purpose, for a purpose.
